2004-05 JUNIOR: Played in 28 of 29 games, getting the starting nod 20 times... Broke his nose and suffered a concussion in practice on Feb. 12 and sat out the Toledo game (Feb. 14) due to precautionary reasons... All-MAC Honorable Mention selection... Led the team and ranked 16th in the MAC in scoring, with 12.9 points-per-game... Scored his 1,000th career point in the game versus Eastern Michigan (Jan. 15)... Closed the season with 1,156 points to rank 23rd on the all-time school chart... Scored in double figures 21 times... Led the team in scoring in 11 games... Season-high 23 points came against Cleveland State (Dec. 8)... Scored 18 points or better seven times... Had a string of 14-consecutive double-figure scoring outings, spanning from the Northern Illinois (Dec. 4) game through the contest at Miami (Ohio) (Jan. 30)... 84.4 percent (76-of-90) free-throw shooting clip was first on the squad, second in the league and listed him 44th amongst his national peers... 2003-04 REDSHIRT JUNIOR: Utilized a medical redshirt season after straining a muscle in his back during preseason camp... Saw limited minutes in four non-conference games before sitting out the remainder of the year... Scored three points and logged a season-high six minutes at Radford (Nov. 29)... Played five minutes two days later at Hampton (Dec. 1), scoring two points... Did not see action again until the Dec. 14 North Carolina contest, where he logged five minutes... Also saw limited time at Cleveland State (Dec. 20).
2002-03 SOPHOMORE: Played in all 28 contests, starting 23 times... Team's third-leading scorer, averaging 13.8 ppg... Ranked second on the squad in rebounding (4.4 rpg)... Hit 83.8 percent (83-of-99) from the line, third-best in the league and second-best on the team (Brian Wood was 2-of-2 from line, playing in 13 contests)... That percentage is also second-best all-time by a UA sophomore... Was perfect from the line 13 times including a season-best 7-of-7 performance against Buffalo (Jan. 11)... Scored in double digits in six of the last seven contests... Averaged 15.0 points, and 3.0 rebs. in that seven-game stretch... Twenty double-figure scoring efforts... Led Zips in scoring five times... Season-high 28 points came against Ohio (Feb. 23)... Shot 52.7 percent (137-of-260) from the field... Set a career high with a pair of blocks versus Ohio (Feb. 23)... Also played a career-best 41 minutes in that Ohio game.
2001-02 FRESHMAN: All-MAC Freshman Team pick... Team's second leading scorer, averaged 13.1 ppg and 5.0 rebounds... Saw action in all 31 games, starting 26 times... Tallied 11 points, three rebounds and an assist at Western Michigan (Mar. 4) in the opening round of the MAC tournament... Had 12 points in 37 minutes against Bowling Green (Mar. 7) in the league's quarterfinal round... Recorded three double-doubles, the last of which came at Western Michigan (Feb. 11), when he had 13 points and 10 rebounds... Posted 19 points at Toledo (Feb. 13) and tossed in 20 points and four boards at Eastern Michigan (Feb. 16)... Went 8-of-12 from the field in the Eastern Michigan contest... Exploded for a career-high 29 points at Ball State (Jan. 19) in a then career-high 38 minutes... Saved the day for the Zips at Ohio (Jan. 30), hitting a pair of free throws with two seconds remaining to preserve a UA victory... Reached double figures in points each of the first six games he started... Scored in double figures 22 times... 405 points is the third most in school history by a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio... All-Ohio honorable mention... All-Cincinnati and All-Queen City Conference first team... All-district second team... Averaged 19.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as a senior, when the squad won the Queen City Metro Conference title with a record of 19-0...
