As a Sophomore (2013): Started all 12 games ... named Academic All-MAC ... finished the season 225-of-402 for 2,438 yards, eight touchdowns, and 10 interceptions ... added 96 yards in 72 carries and three touchdowns on the ground ... his 225 completions were sixth-most in a single season in school history ... recorded 18.8 completions per game, the seventh-best average in the Akron record book ... threw an interception on just 2.5 percent of his passes, the second-best single-season mark in program history (Charlie Frye, 2.1 percent, 2001) ... his 2,438 yards through the air is the eighth-most in a single season by an Akron QB ... closed the season second in the MAC and 39th nationally in completions per game (18.75) ... posted two 300-yard performances ... named MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16 after nearly leading the Zips to an upset win at Michigan ... went 25-of-49 for 311 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Wolverines, with 229 yards and two TDs coming in the second half ... followed up his performance at UM with a 321-yard performance (27-of-43) against Louisiana, throwing for three touchdowns ... closed the season by completing 18-of-29 passes for 259 yards, three TDs and no interceptions against Toledo ... had a season-high 43 yards rushing (five carries) against Louisiana ... scored rushing touchdowns at Bowling Green, vs. Ball State, and at Massachusetts.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2012): Saw action as backup quarterback in six games ... closed out the season 38-of-58 passing for 366 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions ... was under center for the majority of the season finale at Toledo, and completed 28-of-42 passes for 213 yards, and two TDs ... 7-of-10 passing for 119 yards and three touchdowns in a 66-6 win over Morgan State ... earned Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention recognition.
As a Freshman (2011): Redshirted.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Valley View HS ... selected to the North-South All-Star game ... as a senior, earned honorable mention All-District, first-team All-league and was the team MVP and captain ... graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average ... threw for over 3,000 yards and had 25 touchdown strikes ... closed out his high school career listed in third place in the school record book for most receptions in a season (43 as a sophomore) ... also played basketball ... was a 1,000-point career scorer and two-time all-league selection on the hardwood.
