Stuart Holthusen, Men's Soccer
AKRON, Ohio - Stuart Holthusen (Auckland, New Zealand), a sophomore on the men's soccer team, was named the Zips' Student-Athlete of the Month for November, presented by The University of Akron, Ohio's Polytechnic University.
Holthusen turned in a dynamic month of November leading the Zips to a 5-1-0 mark on the strength of team-high marks in goals (6), points (16), shots (27), shots on goal (13) and game-winners (3), while ranking second in assists (4).
Holthusen registered a trio of two-goal performances against Bowling Green (Nov. 7), West Virginia (Nov. 13) and in the NCAA Tournament versus Rutgers (Nov. 22). In each of these contests, he recorded the game-winning tally. Additionally, he added two assists against UCLA (Nov. 1) and helpers versus Bowling Green and SMU (Nov. 29).
