AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron women's soccer team released a challenging 2026 fall schedule, second-year head coach Maggie Kuhn announced today.
In 2026, the Zips' schedule features eight home games at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Led by senior captains Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio), Olivia Heskett (Lewis Center, Ohio) and Rachel Wenzel (Akron, Ohio), Akron is set to return nine starters in 2026, including Bower, senior Jordanne Oberhaus (Wadsworth, Ohio), Wenzel, juniors Kailyn Biecker (Wadsworth, Ohio), Allie McMillen (Shreve, Ohio), Kaitlyn Rogowski (Hilliard, Ohio) and Eesha Sutharshan (Knoxville, Tenn.) along with sophomores Luisa Fragnoli (Medina, Ohio) and Addison Hall (Manchester, Conn.).

The Zips will be bolstered this season by a talented 11-member 2026 signing class, which includes six freshmen and five transfers.
The Zips kick off their 26th season of intercollegiate women's soccer welcoming Oakland to FirstEnergy Stadium for the squad's home opener on Aug. 16. Akron then goes on the road for non-conference games at Southern Indiana (Aug. 20), Duquesne (Aug. 27) and Louisville (Aug. 30) to round out the month of August.

The month of September opens for Akron hosting Cleveland State (Sept. 3) at FirstEnergy Stadium before closing non-conference play at Robert Morris (Sept. 6) and Mercyhurst (Sept. 10).

The Zips commence their Mid-American Conference schedule at Miami (Sept. 17) before closing the month on its home pitch against Bowling Green (Sept. 20) and Ohio (Sept. 27).

The Zips kick off the month of October visiting Toledo (Oct. 1), while facing road tests at Massachusetts (Oct. 11), Central Michigan (Oct. 15) and Kent State (Oct. 25). Additionally, Akron welcomes Ball State (Oct. 4), Buffalo (Oct. 18) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 29) to FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Zips close out their league slate visiting 2025 MAC Champion Western Michigan (Nov. 1).
The top six league seeds will travel to Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus to compete in 2026 MAC Women's Soccer Tournament (Nov. 7-13).

The Zips take to the pitch for the initial time on Aug. 5 when Akron visits Northern Kentucky in the first of two exhibition matches before hosting Wright State (Aug. 8) at FirstEnergy Stadium to round out the exhibition campaign.
