AKRON, Ohio - The Akron baseball team returns to Skeeles Field to host the Kent State Golden Flashes for a conference series starting on Friday, May 1.

Kent State recently took down Pittsburgh 13-5 on Tuesday. The Flashes consistently scored, with four runs coming in the eighth to widen the gap.
Luke Matthews had a standout performance, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, two stolen bases, and one hit-by-pitch. Hunter Klotz went 1-for-5 with two RBI. Brody Williams had two RBI while reaching base twice and stole two bases. Max Humphrey went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base, while Grady Mee reached base three times and swiped two bags.
Reese Ripkin leads the Flashes with a .315 average, is tied for the lead in hits (53) and triples (2), while leading the way in doubles (13). Sawyer Solitaria is the leader in home runs (12) and walks (33), while Brody Williams holds the top mark for RBI (41). Luke Matthews leads Kent in stolen bases (16).
