The Zips recently fell at Ohio State on Tuesday, 19-7. Easton Amundson led the offense with a 2-for-3 night, driving in three runs while collecting a home run and a double. Kelton Phillips went 2-for-4 with a double. Blake Bowen went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk while Gabe Mathison collected a pair of hits in four trips to the plate.  Parker Munday was a bright spot for the Zips, coming out of the bullpen and throwing 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing no hits.
Brody Chrisman leads the Zips in average (.364), runs scored (38), hits (55), RBI (34), stolen bases (21) and is tied for the lead with Blake Bowen in doubles (11). Amundson leads the way for home runs (9). Four Zips have hit one triple each, while Blake Bowen leads the squad in walks (43).
On the mound, Brady Bowen leads the staff with a 3-2 record in 12 appearances and two starts through 42.0 innings of work with a 2.14 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and a .189 average against. Floyd McKenna leads the way in saves (4) while tied with Josiah Ross in appearances (17). Elijah Griffith holds the top mark in innings pitched (53.1) and strikeouts (34).
As a team, Akron is hitting .276 with 269 runs scored on 365 hits. The Zips have 233 RBI, 81 doubles, five triples and 34 home runs. The Zips are 106-of-127 on stolen bases this season. The Blue and Gold's pitching staff has allowed 324 runs, 274 earned, while striking out 276 and walking 252.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Bobcats enter the series with an 8-32 overall record, a 5-16 record in the MAC and a 1-11 record at home this season.
Ohio recently fell to Northern Kentucky 4-7 on Tuesday while taking the series finale at Central Michigan 16-6 last Sunday.
Dylan Shepherd leads the squad with a .316 average. Cameron Boyd leads the way in runs scored (26), doubles (10), home runs (7) and is second in RBI (25). Will Henson is the leader in hits (44), while two Bobcats share the lead in walks (23) and Tyler Stack leads the squad in stolen bases (19).
On the mound, Dillon Masters leads the way with a 5.79 ERA in 20 appearances, 37.1 innings pitched and two saves. Mason Gass has recorded a 3-2 record in 15 appearances and three starts through 49.1 innings of work, while recording 27 strikeouts. AJ Dallmayer leads the staff with 37 strikeouts.
As a team, Ohio is hitting .261 with 220 runs scored on 339 hits. The Bobcats have 194 RBI, 75 doubles, six triples and 29 home runs. The Bobcats are 72-of-92 on stolen bases this season. Ohio's pitching staff has allowed 421 runs, 369 earned, while striking out 206 and walking 252.
