AKRON, Ohio - The Akron baseball team returns to Skeeles Field to host the Toledo Rockets for a conference series starting Friday, March 27.

Akron is coming off an 8-7 victory at Mercyhurst on Tuesday. Henry Hayman hit a home run and drove in two runs against the Lakers. Easton Amundson recorded two hits and two RBI, while Austin Lafferty recorded a double, an RBI and a walk.
Brody Chrisman leads the Zips in average (.345), runs scored (21), hits (30), doubles (9), RBI (23) and stolen bases (14). Amundson holds the lead for home runs (5), while four Zips have hit one triple each. Blake Bowen leads the squad in walks (30).

SCOUTING REPORT
The Rockets enter the series with a 10-13 overall record and a 6-3 record in the MAC. Toledo has lost its last four contests after falling to Michigan, 5-2, on the road Tuesday.
Troy Sudbrook had a 2-for-4 afternoon, his eighth multi-hit game in his last nine outings. Ryan Hughes took the loss. The bullpen trio of Arturo Ormaza, Nate Langbehn and Braden Curry turned in a solid outing to keep Toledo in the game, allowing just two runs on six hits and one walk in 6.2 innings of work.
Sudbrook leads the Rockets in average (.370), doubles (12), triples (2), home runs (4) and RBI (31). Cade Baker is the leader in hits (36), while Charlie Scholvin leads the way in walks (16). Two Rockets have stolen 11 bases this season.
On the mound, Nathan Leininger leads the way in average (2.17), wins (4), innings pitched (37.1) and strikeouts (36). Three Rockets have made a season-high eight appearances, while two have recorded a save.
