Johnson Named to NABC All-District First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has announced the 2025-26 NABC Division I All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year, with Akron guard Tavari Johnson being named to the East District First Team.
Johnson was recently named to the All-MAC Tournament team, along with being the Tournament MVP. He averaged 19.3 points, 3.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game over the three-day tournament.
An All-MAC First Team selection, he is averaging a team-leading 20.1 points and 5.0 assists per game. Johnson also averages 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. The veteran guard leads the Zips with 19 20+ point performances this season and was named to the Early Season Lou Henson All-America Watch list and the Nolan Richardson Award Watch List.
