CLEVELAND, Ohio — Sara Bower has been named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week following two spectacular performances.

The senior racked up a combined 10 saves in the Zips' back-to-back shutouts over Central Michigan and Buffalo as she recorded her sixth clean sheet of the season. Against the Chippewas, Bower moved into second all-time in program history in career saves. In the Zips' four shutouts against MAC opponents this season — their best since 2019 — she has combined for 16 saves and has seen 48 total shot attempts (on and off target) in those matches.

Bower is the second Zip to earn a weekly honor from the conference this season, as Rachel Wenzel notched Offensive Player of the Week recognition back on September 22. This is also Bower's second career Goalkeeper of the Week award, as she received recognition on August 19 of last season.

Bower and the Zips will play at Kent State on Sunday, October 25 at 1 p.m.
