MAC Unveils Akron’s 2024-25 Women’s Basketball League Slate

2024-25 AKRON WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference today unveiled the 2024-25 league slate for the University of Akron women's basketball program.
Akron under the direction of second-year head coach Ryan Gensler will kick off its 51st season of intercollegiate basketball hosting Georgia State (Nov. 4) at James A. Rhodes Arena as part of the Sun Belt-MAC Challenge.
The Zips commence their league schedule traveling to Ohio (Jan. 1) before back-to-back home contests against Toledo (Jan. 4) and Northern Illinois (Jan. 8). Akron also welcomes Central Michigan (Jan. 15) and Buffalo (Jan. 25) to James A. Rhodes Arena during the month, while traveling to Eastern Michigan (Jan. 11), Ball State (Jan. 18), Miami (Jan. 22) and Bowling Green (Jan. 29).
Akron kicks off the month of February traveling to rival Kent State (Feb. 1) before hosting Western Michigan (Feb. 5). The Zips then step out of conference for a road game as part of the second leg of the SBC-MAC Challenge on Feb. 8. Additionally, the Zips welcome Miami (Feb. 19) and Ohio (Feb. 22) to the JAR, while visiting Toledo (Feb. 15) and Western Michigan (Feb. 26).
The Zips close out their league slate hosting rival Kent State (March 1) and Eastern Michigan (March 5) before the regular season finale at Central Michigan (March 8).
The conference tournament is scheduled to begin on Wednesday-Saturday, March 12-15 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
