Zips Announce 2024 Non-Conference Volleyball Schedule

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Volleyball team will begin the 2024 season with 12 non-conference contests, starting with two matches in Puerto Rico in late August.
The Zips begin the 2024 campaign against Evansville and Liberty at the Mario Morales Coliseum on August 30 and 31 before returning to Akron for a four-game home stand.
September begins with four matches at James A. Rhodes Arena with the first home contest featuring Cleveland State on September 4. Wyoming and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley come calling on the 6 and 7 while Mercyhurst travels to battle the Zips on the 10.
Akron then begins a four-game road swing with three taking place in the state of Michigan. The Zips will battle St. Francis (PA) and Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., on the 13 before facing Sacramento State in Rochester, Mich., on the 14. Akron concludes the road trip with a battle at Cincinnati on the 17.
The Blue and Gold conclude the non-conference schedule with a road match at Youngstown State on the 19 and a home contest against Cleveland State on the 20 before beginning Mid-American Conference action against Ohio on the 27.
