AZUSA, Calif. – The University of Akron track and field freshman Timothy Chesondin (Eldoret, Kenya) registered the second-fastest time in program history in the men's 10,000 meters on the opening day of the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific on Thursday (April 11).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Chesondin crossed the line in a career-best and Mid-American Conference-leading time of 29:40.36. His performance stands as the second-fastest mark in outdoor program history.
UP NEXT
Akron will continue competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday (April 12) as as well as opening action at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational and the Tiffin Track Carnival.
