GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Akron redshirt senior Jabari Neal-Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed sixth in the men's hammer to highlight the Zips' efforts at the Florida Relays on Friday (March 29).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neal-Jackson registered a mark of 198-1 (60.38m) to place sixth in the men's hammer.

RALEIGH, N.C. – University of Akron freshman Sharon Chepchirchir (Kapsabet, Kenya) ran the second-fastest 10,000 meter time in program history to lead the Zips' performances at the Raleigh Relays on Friday (March 29).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Chepchirchir crossed the line in the women's 10,000 meters late on Friday in a career-best time of 35:05.70, the second-fastest performance in outdoor program history.
• Freshmen Mary Munga (Nyandarua, Kenya) and Megan Hipple (Warren, Ohio) each recorded career-best times of 16:59.36 and 17:20.88, respectively, in the women's 5,000 meters.

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Sprints highlighted the efforts of the University of Akron track and field team on the third day of the Texas Relays on Friday (March 29).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshman Andrew Styles (Freeport, The Bahamas) registered a career-best time of 10.43 to place 32nd in the men's 100 meters.
• Senior Dimitrije Novakovic (Belgrade, Serbia) placed eighth in the men's long jump with a season-best mark of 23-6.75 (7.18m).
UP NEXT
The Zips will conclude competition at the Texas Relays on Saturday (March 30) as well as participating in the Tiffleberg Open in Tiffin, Ohio and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio.
