2024 Volleyball MAC Opponents and Dates Released

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the opponents and dates for the 2024 volleyball season league play on Wednesday, March 27.
In 2024, Akron is set to play 18 conference matches, beginning with two matches against Ohio at home in James A. Rhodes Arena on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27-28. The Zips will then head on the road for two matches against Northern Illinois on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 3-4.
Akron's home and away midweek matches are slated for Tuesday, Oct. 8 as they host Buffalo at the JAR, followed by the return trip to Buffalo on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The Zips will be on the road in a split weekend series, starting with Ball State on Friday, Oct. 11 and Akron will head to Oxford, Ohio to play Miami on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Akron will host the following split weekend, welcoming Toledo on Thursday, Oct. 17 and Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 18 before Western Michigan comes to town in for a weekend series on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25.
Akron opens November with the rivalry series on the road at Kent State on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2 before closing out the league schedule against Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.
The Zips travel to Ypsilanti for a pair of matches against the Eagles on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8-9 and hosts the Chippewas to conclude MAC play on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16.
Akron's non-conference portion of the schedule will be released at a later date. In addition match times will also be announced in the future.
