Akron Women's Soccer Duo Earns Academic All-Ohio Honors

ALL-OHIO D1 ACADEMIC WOMEN'S SOCCER RELEASE

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's soccer squad was well represented when the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association unveiled its 2023 All-Ohio women's soccer award winners as senior Katie Stafford (Gahanna, Ohio) and junior Ella Hadley (Concord, Ohio) were tabbed as Academic All-Ohio honorees.

Stafford was recognized as a First-Team Academic All-Ohio recipient, while Hadley garnered second-team accolades.

Stafford started all 17 games she appeared in for Akron this past season. She registered a pair of goals on the campaign on the strength of seven shots, including four on goal. She helped lead the Zips' defensive efforts to a pair of shutouts this past season.

Hadley, started all 18 of Akron's contests on the campaign en route to posting two goals and two assists on the strength of 28 shots, including 13 on goal.
