Zips Travel to Cleveland State to Battle in the Magnus Cup Invitational

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Swimming and Diving team gets set to compete in the 2024 Magnus Cup Invitational from November 21-23.
The field includes Ashland, Canisius, Cleveland State, IUP, Le Moyne, Niagara, St. Bonaventure, Youngstown State, Valparaiso, Xavier, Bowling Green, Toledo, Tulane and Akron.
The competition is three days with two sessions each day along with diving between. Prelims start at 9 a.m., Diving at 1 p.m., and finals at 6 p.m.
Last season, Akron won the Magnus Cup after scoring 1,571 points and broke seven meet records in the process, including three on the final day of competition.Â
The Blue and Gold last competed on Nov. 1, when they took down Bowling Green 195-105 at the Ocasek Natatorium. Akron took first place in 11 events against the Falcons.
