No. 25 Akron Begins the Season Hosting the Zips Classic

AKRON, Ohio – The No. 25 Akron Zips women's swimming and diving program opens the 2024-25 season on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11-12 by hosting the Akron Zips Classic at the Ocasek Natatorium.
Akron was recently picked to finish first in the MAC in the 2024-25 preseason coaches poll and was ranked No. 25 in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America preseason poll.
The field includes four women's teams and three men's teams from Akron, Denison, Xavier and Youngstown State.
The action is slated to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday with the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter diving events before the first swimming session of the two-day event begins at 5 p.m.
Saturday will feature the second swimming session starting at 10 a.m before diving begins at 1:30 p.m. which will be followed by the final swimming session at 5 p.m.
