No. 25 Akron Swimming and Diving Picked to Finish First in MAC Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The No. 25 Akron Zips swimming and diving team was picked to place first in the 2024-25 Mid-American Conference coaches poll, as announced by the conference office on October 9.
The Zips earned the top spot with 49 team points and seven of the eight first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their team.
Akron was ranked No.25 in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Preseason Poll and the only team from the MAC to be ranked or receive votes. The Zips have 10 MAC Championship titles (2014,15,16,17,18,19,20,22,23,24) under head coach Brian Peresie's direction.
The Zips will also feature two-time MAC Swimmer of the Year and All-American Abigail Daniel along with NCAA qualifier and All-MAC First-Team member Madelyn Gatrall.
