Akron Women’s Soccer Releases 2023 Fall Schedule

2023 AKRON WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's soccer team released a challenging 2023 fall slate, second-year head coach Jen Simonetti announced today.
In 2023, the Zips' nine-match home schedule features a trip to FirstEnergy Stadium from NCAA Tournament participant and 2022 Mid-American Conference Tournament champion Buffalo.
The Zips commence their 23rd season of intercollegiate soccer hosting Robert Morris in Akron's home opener on Aug. 24 before closing out the month entertaining Dayton on Aug. 31.
The month of September includes a non-conference home contest versus Boston College (Sept. 3) before opening MAC action hosting Buffalo (Sept. 21).
The Zips face a challenging month of October as Akron begins play battling Northern Illinois (Oct. 1) and Western Michigan (Oct. 5) at FirstEnergy Stadium, before traveling to Toledo (Oct. 8). Akron returns home on Oct. 12 to host Ball State in advance of playing three of its final four games on the road at Central Michigan (Oct. 15), Eastern Michigan (Oct. 19) and Ohio (Oct. 26). The Zips home finale is against Miami (Oct. 22).
The MAC Tournament commences on Oct. 29 with quarterfinal matches on campus sites. The semifinals and final will then take place at the highest remaining seed, Nov. 3-5.
The Zips take to the pitch for the initial time on Aug. 8 when Akron visits Saint Francis in the first of two exhibition matches before traveling to St. Bonaventure on Aug. 13 to round out the exhibition campaign.
Season ticket plans for the 2023 Akron football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball seasons, which include a ticket to all home games, can be purchased at www.GoZips.com/Tickets or by visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) during our business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
