WALNUT, Calif. – The University of Akron men's and women's track and field team garnered strong results against the nation's elite at the Mt. Sac Relays on Friday (April 14) and Saturday (April 15), respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Redshirt sophomore Jimmy Harkelroad (Huron, Ohio) placed 13th in the elite men's 400-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 52.07.
• Senior Amya Clarke (Christ Church, St. Kitts and Nevis) posted a season-best time of 11.48 to finish 15th in the elite women's 100 meters.
• Senior Charles Sanders (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed 12th in the men's 400 meters in a season-best time of 47.44 on Friday.

UP NEXT:
Akron is scheduled to compete at the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State next weekend.
