ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – University of Akron track and field team capped its efforts at the Don Kirby Invitational hosted by New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 11 with sophomore Brynn Rychlik (Marysville, Ohio) capturing the women's pole vault.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Rychlik won the women's pole vault eclipsing 12-4 (3.76m) to best the field
• Redshirt sophomore Jimmy Harkelroad (Huron, Ohio) crossed the line in the men's 400 meters in a time of 47.85
• Senior Amya Clarke (Christ Church, St. Kitts and Nevis) posted a time of 7.58 in the women's 60 meters after crossing the line in a season-best time of 24.58 in the women's 200 meters late on Friday evening
