BOXSCORE (PDF)
CINCINNATI, Ohio - A goal in the 57th minute proved too much for the seventh-seeded University of Akron men's soccer team to overcome in a physical and tightly-contested tilt at second-seeded Xavier on Saturday (Nov. 4) in the quarterfinal round of the BIG EAST Championship.
How it Happened
The two side battled through a scoreless opening half with Zips outshooting the Musketeers in the opening stanza, 6-5.

Akron continued to battle despite playing a man down the final 27 minutes
Redshirt sophomore GK Mitch Budler (Lincoln, Neb.) led Akron with four saves. The Zips totaled 10 shots in the loss, six of them on goal. Akron faced 10 Xavier shots, five of them on goal.
Game Notes
