2024 Schedule Update: Akron Set to Open Season at Ohio State

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron made an adjustment to the 2024 football schedule as the Zips will now open the season at Ohio State on Aug. 31, 2024, the two schools announced on Tuesday.
Akron was originally scheduled to host Kentucky at InfoCision Stadium next season and Ohio State was slated to play Southern Mississippi on that date.
The game marks the 10th meeting all-time between the Zips and Buckeyes.
Akron's full 2024 non-conference schedule and season ticket packages will be released in the near future.
The Zips are scheduled to host the Ohio Bobcats for the 2023 season finale and Senior Day at Noon on Friday, Nov. 24 at InfoCision Stadium.
