ABOUT THE ZIPS
Akron, under first-year head coach Tyson Norton stands 3-10 overall and 0-2 in league play after falling to Northern Illinois in MAC opening weekend. Teagan Ochaya and Faith Johnson lead the Zips attack with 172 and 128 kills, respectively. Baylee Vought adds to the offensive efforts with 244 assists followed by Avery Brown with 157 assists. Vought has issued 13 service aces for a team-best, while Ochaya and Johnson delivered 12 and 11. Defensively, Lauren Latka anchors the ground defense with 2.76 digs per set (124 digs), followed by Ochaya and Johnson with 2.46 and 2.24 digs per set. Jayda Young, Karleighana Jones, Ellen Kinnaird and Ochaya provide the arial defense as Young leads the way with 32 blocks. Jones and Kinnaird recorded 27 blocks each, while Ochaya follows closely with 19 blocks.

SCOUTING BUFFALO
The Bulls are 8-6 overall and 0-2 in MAC play, dropping a pair of 3-0 decisions to Western Michigan to open league play. Katrin Trebichavska and Abby Leigh spearhead the Bulls' offensive attack and account for 350.0 of the team's 873.0 points. Trebichavska leads the team with 138 kills and A. Leigh follows with 125 kills with an impressive .402 hitting percentage. Mandy Leigh tosses a team-high 10.53 assists per game, accounting for 400 of the Bulls' 612 helpers. Defensively, Buffalo is paced by Hayley Montoya with 2.92 digs per set and 146 total digs, while Trebichavska (121 digs) and M. Leigh (99 digs) follow with 2.63 and 2.61 (99) digs per set.
