2022 AKRON CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE

AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron cross country team under second-year head cross country coach Anna Bearss unveiled a challenging seven-meet schedule for 2022, one that includes the 54th Annual Tommy Evans Invitational on Sept. 3 at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton.

The Zips open their fall campaign at the 54th annual Tommy Evans Invitational on Sept. 3 at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton.

Two weeks later, Akron travels to Terre Haute, Ind., to compete at the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Sept. 17.

On Sept. 30, the Zips head to Notre Dame, Ind., to run at the Joe Piane Cross Country Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame.

Akron's final tune-up before the Mid-American Championships will be the Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green on Oct. 14.

The Zips then visit Athens, Ohio, for the MAC Championships on Oct. 29. Akron seeks its third overall crown and first since 2005.

The Great Lakes Regional hosted by Indiana State follows on Nov. 11.

Akron concludes its campaign traveling to Stillwater, Okla., on Nov. 19 for the NCAA Championships hosted by Oklahoma State.
