Eight Zips Garner Academic All-MAC Cross Country Honors

2025 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC CROSS COUNTRY RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of Akron men's and women's cross country teams earned eight selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2025 Cross Country Academic All-MAC Team on Friday (Jan. 9).

In all, 117 student-athletes from 13 conference institutions were honored including redshirt senior Emily Razo (Salem, Ohio), junior Majid Abuaun (Rocky River, Ohio), Megan Hipple (Warren, Ohio) and Kayla Sucharski (Galena, Ohio) and sophomores Bismack Kipchirchir (Eldama Ravine, Kenya), Jared Newenhisen (Barberton, Ohio), Emil Stanford (Sunbury, Ohio) and Jadyn Towns (Berlin Heights, Ohio).

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests for that particular sport.
