BLOOMINGTON, IND. - The University of Akron track and field team culminated its performances at the NCAA East Preliminary Round Championship hosted by Indiana University on Saturday, May 28 as freshman Fegor Clifford (Delta State, Nigeria) and junior Jacqueline Pokuaah (Kumasi, Ghani) capped the efforts of the Zips' women's squad.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• With the top-12 finishers advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., Pokuaah finished 17th in the women's triple jump posting a mark of 42-0 (12.80m) on her second of three attempts.
• Clifford placed 17th in the women's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 58.46 after registering a mark of 40-11.75 (12.49m) in the women's triple jump.

UP NEXT:
Akron freshman pole vaulter Hunter Garretson (Newcomerstown, Ohio) will travel to Eugene, Ore., for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He will compete in the men's pole vault at 8 p.m. ET on June 8.
