Akron Swimming and Diving Defends Magnus Cup Invitational Title

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips are back in the water at Busbey Natatorium as Cleveland State hosts the annual Magnus Cup Invitational on Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 17-19.

Akron looks to repeat as Magnus Cup Invitational champions as the Zips swimming and diving claimed the 2021 title. Akron's earned runner-up in its first Magnus Cup appearance in 2014-15 and went on to claim five consecutive championships from 2015-2018. In 2019, only the diving portion of the team competed and the Zips did not compete at the event in 2020.

Akron was the overall winner with 1769.50 points, Ohio was second with 1377.50 points, and Duquesne was third with 1032.50 points.

Tickets
