No. 20 Akron Garners 4-0 Victory Over Cleveland State

AKRON, Ohio – The 20th-rated University of Akron men's soccer team parlayed a four-goal explosion in the opening half into a 4-0 triumph past Cleveland State (9-3-3) in non-conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The Zips (9-2-4) garnered tallies in the 14th (13:20), 15th (14:48), 22nd (21:37) and 44th (43:31) minutes, respectively, from junior Will Jackson (Hudson, Ohio) and sophomores Dyson Clapier (Layton, Utah), Jason Shokalook (Erie, Pa.) and Terence Okoeguale (Pulheim, Germany) to secure the non-conference victory over the Vikings.
Jackson netted what proved to be the game-winning tally at the 13:20 mark heading home a corner kick from sophomore Jonas Buechte (Rantigen, Germany) for his first goal of the season.
Just over a minute later in the 15th minute (14:48) off a defensive turnover, Clapier registered his team-leading seventh goal of the year courtesy of an assist from Shokalook.
Shokalook followed scoring his sixth goal on the campaign on a ball served in from the midfield by freshman Ashton Kamdem (West Chester, Ohio) at the 21:37 mark.
Okoeguale capped the scoring in the affair finding the back of the net for his second goal of the year on the strength of assists from sophomore Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal (Carbondale, Ill.) and junior Ryan Kingsford (Herne Bay, England) in the 44th minute (43:41).
Redshirt freshman GK Mitch Budler (Lincoln, Neb.) recorded his fourth consecutive and sixth overall shutout of the season making one save for the Zips.
Okoeguale and Shokalook led Akron's efforts recording a game-high four shots apiece, while Wan Kamal, freshman Stefan Dobrijevic (Uniontown, Ohio) and junior Josef Paulus (Hinckley, Ohio) added three, two and two shots, respectively.
