AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron track and field team hosted the eighth annual Pole Vault Convention on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Stile Athletics Field House.

In the women's pole vault competition, freshmen Abby Knouff (Tallmadge, Ohio) and Brynn Rychlik (Marysville, Ohio) captured the top-two finishes surpassing 13-0.25 (3.97m) and 12-6.25 (3.82m), respectively.

The Zips commence their indoor campaign hosting the Akron Quad Meet on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Stile Athletics Field House.
