Toledo, Ohio – The Akron Zips had its four-game winning streak snapped at Savage Arena as the league-leading Toledo Rockets defended its home court with an 84-76 win on CBS Sports Network.

Akron (13-6, 6-3 MAC) had four players notch double figures in soring as junior Bryan Trimble, Jr. (Kansas City, Mo.) led the way with 18 points. Sophomore Enrique Freeman (Cleveland, Ohio registered his 10^th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomores Mikal Dawson (Huntington, W.Va.) and Ali Ali (Kendallville, Ind.) added 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Akron edged the Rockets 36-30 on the glass but could not slow down the Rockets MAC-leading offense. Toledo (17-4, 9-1 MAC) finished the first half with a 46-37 advantage, using a 12-0 run at the end of the half to create separation on the scoreboard. The Rockets connected with 61.3 percent (19-of-31) of their shots from the floor in the half.

The home team added a 14-of-25 showing in the second stanza and built a 19-point lead by the 8:54 mark. The Zips retaliated with five consecutive points and orchestrated a 10-0 run to cut the lead to four points,72-68, but Toledo made timely baskets to keep, and increase, the lead before time expired.

The Rockets were led in scoring by Ryan Rollins with 21 points followed by Ra'Heim Moss (20), RayJ Dennis III (17) and JT Shumate (12).
