No. 25 ranked Akron Swimming & Diving Team Travels to Toledo for Dual Meet

AKRON, Ohio – The No. 25 ranked Akron Zips Swimming & Diving team will travel to Toledo for a dual meet on Friday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. at the UToledo Student Recreation Center and Pool.

The Toledo Rockets
Toledo is 0-5 in dual meet action this season and earned sixth overall at Akron's Zippy Invitational. The Rockets are coming off a 172-128 dual meet setback to Bowling Green as Toledo won events.

The Zips
The Zips are 3-1 this season in dual meet action, defeating Miami (190-110), Eastern Michigan (161-138) and Ohio (241-101) while dropping a head-to-head battle with Ohio State (228-91). The Zips retaliated with a win over the Buckeyes last weekend, earning runner-up at the Tim Welch Classisc hosted by Notre Dame. Akron also posted wins at the Akron Zips Classic, Magnus Cup Invitational and the Zippy Invitational. In addition, Watson garnered three MAC Swimmer of the Week awards this season, while and Kalik claimed a pair MAC Diver of the Week accolades.
