Second Installment of Akron/Kent State Rivalry Series Selected for ESPN2

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced ESPN2 selected the second installment of the Crystal Clinic Orthopeadic Wagon Wheel Challenge rivalry game between Akron and Kent State at James A. Rhodes Arena for its February 11 wildcard selection.

As part of the MAC men's basketball television package, the Zips (13-5, 6-2) will host the Golden Flashes (10-9, 5-4) on Friday, February 11th at 7 PM ET. The game will air live on ESPN2.

The contest, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 12 has been moved up due to being a MAC wildcard selection.Â

Akron travels to Toledo for a CBS Sports Network game on Friday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Fans can also follow the action on Akron Sports Radio Network on WHLO 640 AM with Dave Skoczen (PxP) and Joe Dunn (analyst) or live stats on GoZips.com.
