AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's swimming and diving team will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 5, battling the Buffalo Bulls at the Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium. The event is slated for a 5 p.m. start. Fans can follow the action live on YouTube Live Stream or with Meet Mobile.

Friday's meet marks the 20th meeting between Akron and Buffalo with the bulls holding a 13-6 all-time series advantage. Akron fell in a three-team dual last season in Buffalo, defeating Duquesne (221-59) but falling to the Bulls (146.5-133).

Akron currently owns a 3-1 overall record and stands at 2-0 in Mid-American Conference action. The Zips defeated Eastern Michigan (204-96) and Ohio (207.5-92.5) in league competition while placing first at its Zippy Invitational, outscoring Buffalo 1,953-1,570. The Zips fell to Notre Dame 206-109 at the Shamrock invitational on Jan. 22-23.

The last time Akron was in Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium, the Zips hoisted the 2020 MAC Championship trophy to claim their seventh-consecutive league championship. Akron finished first overall with 811.5 points as Buffalo finished runner-up with 738.5 points.

The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. as fans can follow the action and live on YouTube Live Stream or follow the event times and scoring on Meet Mobile. The diving portion of the meet will also be streamed, using a different link that will be available on Friday.
