Â
What was the deciding factor that brought you to UA?
As a student, I chose to come to UA because of the beautiful campus, proximity to downtown, and solid academic programming. As an employee, I chose to come back to help the serve the student-athletes of my alma mater, which is something that has been a dream of mine!Â
Â
How has your position changed over the years?
I've been on board for just over six months, so I am still adjusting to the role I play. Thus far, I've loved working with our external team, coaches, and my central development peers to make a difference for the institution.Â
 Â
What are your current responsibilities?
My primary function is to build meaningful relationships while connecting the philanthropic interests of current and potential donors with the needs of our department, programs, coaches, and student-athletes. This work entails involvement the Z-Fund, hospitality, special events, and premium seating.Â
Â
What have you learned during your time on campus?
Including my undergraduate and graduate work, I am in my sixth year on campus. During my time, I've been so impressed by the dedication of all faculty and staff to the student-experience. Most recently, I've learned how lucky we are to have such passionate fans and supporters of Zips athletics.Â
Â
Do you have a favorite memory to share?
It was in my senior year during our 2010 National Championship in men's soccer, and the energy on campus during gameday was palpable. Those were some of my favorite memories.Â
Â
What advice would you give to a college student who wants to pursue a career in collegiate athletics?
I would advise the following:
What makes you most proud to be a Zip?
I'm so proud of the investments we make in our student-athletes and how that investments pays dividends. I believe that higher education is the great equalizer in life, and, we are committed to providing an incredible athletic and academic experience to all of our student-athletes.
Â
Anything you'd like to add:
When I was a baby, my Dad attended night class at UA for a period of time. We took a father/son photo representing the Zips which I still have to this day! (shown on right)Â
