Libby Harper To Join Zips Women's Soccer Team In Fall Of 2019

AKRON, Ohio– Noreen Herlihy, the head coach of The University of Akron women's soccer program, announced the addition of Libby Harper to the incoming freshman class for the 2019 campaign.Â

With the addition of Harper, the Zips now have seven newcomers joining the Akron program in the fall, including Bailee Bowers (Dublin, Ohio), Emily Clopp (Canonsburg, Pa.), Rielyn Hamilton (Burlington, Ky.), Anya Donelan (Warrington Cheshire, England), Anna-Catharina Meister (Hinterzarten, Germany), and Clara Knopke (Baden-Württemberg, Germany).

Harper, a native of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England, currently competes for Arsenal FC and was the No. 1 goaltender for Arsenal FC U21's while helping lead her team to an FA cup championship.Â

Prior to this past season, Harper played for Chelsea FC for six seasons as well as Arsenal FC for three seasons to begin her career (U9-U12's).
