RALEIGH, N.C. – University of Akron men's 4x800 relay team of senior Nick Winkler (Wadsworth, Ohio), freshman Steven Ashcraft (Canton, Ohio), senior Garrett Crichlow (Twinsburg, Ohio) and redshirt junior Tristan Williams (Akron, Ohio) garnered a second-place finish to highlight the Zips' final-day efforts at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State on Saturday, March 31.

The quartet crossed the line second registering a time of 7:37.11.

The women's 4x800 relay squad of sophomore Victoria Stachowski (Waterford, Mich.), freshman Leah Recker (Findlay, Ohio), senior Tara Snipes (Covington, Ohio) and sophomore Haley Hess (Curtice, Ohio) also found success posting an eighth-place performance crossing the line in 9:08.55.

Additionally, the men's 4x1500 relay unit of Crichlow, freshman Andre Bollam-Godbott (Brunswick, Ohio), Williams and redshirt freshman Jacob Ondash (Hiram, Ohio) finished eighth with a time of 16:27.42, while redshirt sophomore Tevin Brown (Toledo, Ohio) turned in a career-best time of 31:07.59 in the men's 10,000 meters.

Akron returns to competition hosting the Northeast Ohio Quad on Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex.

SATURDAY WOMEN'S FINALS:
4x800 Relay: Victoria Stachowski, Leah Recker, Tara Snipes, Haley Hess (7th-9:08.55)

FRIDAY MEN'S FINALS:
1,500 Meters: Nick Winkler (55th-3:53.43*), Andre Bollam-Godbott (93rd-3:58.96*), Garrett Crichlow (107th-4:01.60)

FRIDAY WOMEN'S FINALS:
1,500 Meters: Haley Hess (81st-4:39.63), Lindsey Scarton (96th-4:41.67*), Tara Snipes (134th-4:58.30); 3,000-Meter Steeplechase: Elizabeth Mosier (33rd-11:12.33); 10,000 Meters: Vanessa Rivera (54th-37:15.66*), Ashley Murray (60th-38:07.67*)
