Akron to Hold College Cup Send-Off Gathering for Men’s Soccer

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron will host a send-off celebration for the Zips' men's soccer team on Wednesday beginning at 1:45 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to attend the gathering that will take place by the Zips' bus along Vine Street just outside of gate two (North end by American flag) of InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field and adjacent to the Stile Athletics Field House. Parking is available in lots surrounding the stadium for fans attending. The bus will depart for the College Cup and Philadelphia, Pa., at 2 p.m.
The second-ranked and fifth-seeded Zips (18-3-2) will face ninth-seeded and No. 1 Stanford (17-2-2) in a College Cup Semifinal tilt on Friday at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa.
The NCAA has allocated only a limited quantity of tickets for our team for the College Cup. Zips Athletics will assign tickets and their locations based on the Priority Points Program. Z-Fund donors will be allocated tickets first, followed by non-donor season ticket holders. After those groups are allocated, Alumni and general public request will then be processed. Due to the varying inventory and in some cases limited availability of tickets, your request does not guarantee you will receive tickets.
To request tickets, please call or text the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-888-99-AKRON on Monday, Dec. 4 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET or Tuesday Dec. 5 between 9 am and 5 pm ET. Tickets will be allocated based on the University's ticket policy for postseason competition. If you request tickets, you will be notified by the end of the day on Wednesday, Dec. 6 about the status of that order. Our College Cup Headquarters web page includes additional information regarding ordering tickets if we are unable to fulfill your request with our allotment.
