Akron to Hold Watch Party for Zips’ Men’s Soccer Elite Eight Showdown

AKRON, Ohio – Akron Athletics will host a watch party for the Zips' men's soccer Elite Eight showdown at No. 6 Louisville on Friday, Dec. 1, at J. Dublin's Pour House (1954 Buchholzer Blvd., Akron, Ohio, 44310).

The watch party will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the match starting at 7 p.m. There will be drink/food specials for fans in attendance. Those specials include; Burger and fries ($5.99), $1 domestic drafts (12oz) and other drink specials.

The third-ranked and fifth-seeded Zips (18-3-1) will face fourth-seeded Louisville (13-2-4) in an Elite Eight tilt on Friday at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium in Louisville, Ky.

The showdown against the Cardinals will mark the first encounter between the two schools since Akron captured its first-ever NCAA title with a 1-0 victory over Louisville on Dec. 12, 2010, in Santa Barbara, Calif.
