Five Zips Named to Men’s Soccer Academic All-MAC Squad

2017 MEN'S SOCCER ACADEMIC ALL-MAC RELEASE

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University of Akron men's soccer squad earned five selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2017 Men's Soccer Academic All-MAC teams on Nov. 27.

In all, 40 student-athletes from nine conference institutions were honored including; seniors Manuel Cordeiro (Porto, Portugal), Stuart Holthusen (Auckland, New Zealand) and Nate Shultz (Mayfield, Ohio), along with redshirt juniors Joe Korb (Willowick, Ohio) and Shane Wiedt (Akron, Ohio).

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport.
