The Akron men garnered a sixth-place finish, while the Zips' women earned a 13th-place showing.
Crossing the line first for the Zips for the fourth race this season was Andrews, who registered a team-best time of 21:26 in the women's 6K to place 47th.

The Zips posted a 17-second spread amongst its top-five performers and had seven of their nine runners turn in career-best times. Sophomores Nick Stricklen (Lexington, Ohio) and Marc Migliozzi (Pittsburgh, Pa.), redshirt sophomore Jeremiah Fitzgerald (Mantua, Ohio), along with freshman Andre Bollam-Godbott (Brunswick, Ohio) contributed points to Akron's efforts recording finishes of 26:08 (28th), 26:15 (32nd), 22:16 (33rd) and 26:21 (37th), respectively.
Rounding out the Zips' efforts was senior Garrett Crichlow (Twinsburg, Ohio) and sophomore Samuel Blechman (Bradford Woods, Pa.), who turned in times of 26:36 (53rd) and 26:51 (63rd).
"The team ran very well today placing sixth amongst the 14 teams in the field, including three nationally-ranked squads," Zips' head men's cross country coach Lee LaBadie said. "We ran competitively as a pack today finishing with a 17-second spread for our top five runners. This is the best team running we have had and I'm very pleased and proud of our guys."
Following closely behind Andrews across the line for the Zips was redshirt junior Elizabeth Mosier (Austintown, Ohio), who ran the course in 21:44, to finish 64th.
Completing Akron's scoring contingent was the trio of sophomores Haley Hess (Curtice, Ohio), Vanessa Rivera (Seville, Ohio) and Hannah Pineault (Morgantown, W. Va.), who crossed the line in 21:56 (71st), 22:30 (92nd) and 22:35 (97th), respectively.
The Zips also received times of 22:43 (102nd) and 22:45 (103rd) from sophomore Alyssa Thomas (Green, Ohio) and freshman Lindsey Scarton (Berea, Ohio). As a team, every Akron runner posted a season- and career-best time in the 6K.
"It was a good day to be a Zip," Akron head women's cross country coach Bridget Franek commented. "Every member of the team ran a season- and personal-best time and many of them looked very relaxed doing it. I definitely think they have more in them and this is a great confidence booster going into the conference meet in two weeks."
The Zips conclude their regular season campaign traveling to Oxford, Ohio, for the Mid-American Conference Championships on Oct. 28.
