2016 MAC MEN'S SOCCER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of Akron men's soccer squad earned eight selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2016 Men's Soccer Academic All-MAC team on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
In all, 43 student-athletes from all six men's soccer conference institutions were honored including; redshirt junior Robby Dambrot (Akron, Ohio), seniors Adam Najem (Clifton, N.J.), Danilo Radjen (Broadview Heights, Ohio) and Brad Ruhaak (Akron, Ohio), redshirt junior Tyler Sanda (North Royalton, Ohio), junior Nate Shultz (Mayfield, Ohio), senior Goncalo Soares (Lisbon, Portugal) and redshirt sophomore Shane Wiedt (Akron, Ohio).
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport.
