Akron hosts Bradley in final exhibition tilt

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron men's soccer team will close out its exhibition campaign on Saturday, Aug. 22, as the Zips welcome Bradley to FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field for a 7 p.m. tilt.
The Braves return six starters this fall from a squad that posted a 9-11-0 ledger a season ago, including a 1-5-0 mark in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Bradley is led by the return of two of their three leading scorers from 2014 in seniors Jason Lesch and Grant Bell. A season ago, Lesch recorded five goals, while adding a five assists, to compliment a four-goal and five-assist campaign from Bell. Each player notched 30 shots on the campaign and combined to account for five game-winning goals.
Redshirt sophomore Logan Ketterer is back in net for Bradley after posting 56 saves en route to recording four shutouts and a 1.00 goals against average as a redshirt freshman.
Akron and the Braves are meeting for the first time in program history.
Akron will open its 2015 campaign traveling to Richmond, Va., for a showdown at VCU on Friday, Aug. 28.
