COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Akron women's golf team concluded the 2014-15 regular season with a 12th-place finish on Sunday at the Lady Buckeye Invitational.
Akron closed the tournament with a three-round score of 968 (+104) after posting a round of 329 (+41). Mid-American Conference foe Kent State won the event with a 54-hole tally of 883 (+19).
Frida Fougberg led the way for the Zips in a tie for 54th place with a score of 240 (+24) after posting a final-round 82 (+10).
Laura Murray finished one shot behind Fougberg in a tie for 56th place (241, +25). Murray carded a 12-over 84 on Sunday.
Pader Her shot a round of 9-over 81 to finish in a tie for 62nd place, concluding play with a total score of 244 (+28).
Mallory Etcheberry and Alejandra Velasco-Villanueva ended the weekend in a tie for 71st place with scores of 250 (+34). Etcheberry posted a round of 85 (+13) on Sunday while Velasco-Villanueva posted a 14-over 86.
Sierra Everson rounded out the scoring-six in a tie for 74th place with a three-round tally of 252 (+36). Everson ended the tournament with a round of 82 (+10).
The Zips head to Lebanon, Ohio, on April 24 for the 2015 MAC Championship.
