Murray's Career-Low Round Leads the Way for Women's Golf

Round Two Results
OCALA, Fla. – Laura Murray posted a career-low round of 71 – the first round under par for her career – as the Akron women's golf team closed day two of the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational in 12th place on Monday.
Murray's round was tied for the second-lowest round of the day and tied for the sixth-lowest round in program history. She climbed 31 spots into a tie for 10th place and will open Tuesday's final round with a score of 4-over 148, just three shots outside the top five.
As a team, Akron posted a round of 307 (+19) to move up one spot into 12th place (620, +44). Daytona State posted the low round of the day to take the overall lead with a 36-hole tally of 596 (+20).
Pader Her sits in a tie for 54th place with a score of 156 (+12) after posting a round of 80 (+8).
Sierra Everson made a 17-spot jump in the standings thanks to a round of 3-over 75. She will open play on Tuesday in a tie for 63rd place with a two-day tally of 158 (+14).
Mallory Etcheberry is tied for 74th place (162, +18) after her second-straight round of 9-over 81 while Frida Fougberg rounded out the scoring-five in a tie for 84th place (165, +21). She carded a round of 86 (+14) on Monday.
Lesli Stolly, playing as an individual, is tied for 94th place after her round of 83 (+11).
Tuesday's final round is set to begin at 8:15 a.m. ET with a shotgun start. There will be no live scoring for the event.
