AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's soccer incoming class includes two athletes who have competed at a national level. Recently, Loreana Lonigro was invited to participate with the U-20 Venezuelan National Team, while Daniela Tellez spent time with the U-20 Mexican National Team.
Lonigro competed in high school at the Pendleton School as a part of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and is the latest Akron NLI signee. Her high school team went undefeated this past season, and finished with a No. 1 ranking in Florida.
Zips women's soccer head coach Vernon Croft has signed a total of seven student-athletes to NLI for the upcoming season. Along with Lonigro from Venezuela and Tellez from Mexico, Akron welcomes three Ohio natives in Amy Dean, Ashley Ingle, and Nikki Zeilmann, to go along with Sydney Schipani from Pennsylvania and Raechel Eck from Michigan.

Women's Soccer season tickets are just $40 for general admission, and are available to 2014 Men's Soccer season ticketholders as add-ons for just $20 per ticket or $40 for Family Plan purchasers. Discounted season tickets are available for current UA Faculty and Staff at $32. Single-game and group tickets will be available beginning in early August.
Season tickets can be purchased online at GoZips.com/tickets, by calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766), or at the C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
