Women's Soccer Ties Robert Morris in Spring Opener

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's soccer team played Robert Morris University to a 4-all draw on Saturday in the first game of the spring exhibition season at Stile Athletics Field House.
Lani Smith, who led the squad with nine goals in 2014, scored a team-high two goals on Saturday. Sarah Sivic and Karin Norman scored one goal apiece for the Akron offense. Norman's goal was her first in an Akron uniform, while Sivic recorded four goals in the 2013 regular season.
Klaire Adee and Alex Luevano-Harden split time in goal for the Zips in Saturday's spring opener.
Akron will head on the road to Saint Francis for their next spring game on Saturday, March 15, which is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., in Loretto, Pa.
