Victoria Brown Earns Smallbore Shooter of the Month from MAC

AKRON, Ohio – Senior Victoria Brown was named the Mid-Atlantic Conference Smallbore Shooter of the Month for her performances in October with the University of Akron rifle squad.
Brown has started out the season in strong form, as she has shot in the 570's for smallbore in three competitions this season. In a competition at West Virginia, Brown set the Akron rifle program record with a score of 581.
Along with her stellar scores in smallbore, Brown has remained steady in the air rifle division as she averages 580 points out of a possible 600 so far this year. Last season, Brown was named second team All-MAC in air rifle.
Akron rifle just finished up competition this past weekend against Morehead State and Columbus State. The Zips marksmen will look ahead to a head-to-head matchup at Rose-Hulman on Dec. 7.
