2011-12 Softball Camp Information Now Available

AKRON, Ohio – Coach Julie Jones and The University of Akron softball program have announced the details for the 2011-12 preseason skills clinics and team camps. Application forms and detailed information are available on the Camp Information page.

UA's Preseason Skills Clinics are a great way to start off the 2012 softball season. Clinics will cover the following skills: power hitting, bunting, slapping, base running, beginning and advanced pitching, and fielding. The clinics will be held on Sunday, Feb. 5, from noon to 5:20 p.m. on The University of Akron campus.

The Zips will also hold team camps on three different dates this year: Nov. 6, Dec. 4 and Jan. 15. Akron's team camp includes four full-field indoor pool play games per date, along with 45 minutes of scheduled cage time and instruction from the Akron staff and team.
