Men's Golf Tied for 11th at Northern Intercollegiate

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The University of Akron men's golf team is tied for 11th place as the second round was halted due to darkness on Saturday at the Northern Intercollegiate on the Rich Harvest Farms Golf Course in Sugar Grove, Ill.
After fog delayed the start of the first round, the second round was halted due to darkness and will be completed before the third round on Sunday.
Before play was called, the Zips were 11-over through 12 holes. Akron was in 12th place after the first round.
Ryan Mason leads the way as he made the turn with a total score of 4-over 111. He posted a round of 1-over 72 during the first round. Charlie Bull is tied for 49th place through 12 holes with a 30-hole tally of 125 (+7). Bull posted a round of even-par 71 earlier in the day.
Cameron Simmons and Scott Landreth are tied for 49th place with Simmons playing through nine holes while Landreth has completed 12 holes. Both are tied at 9-over par.
Tim Lew rounded out the scoring five in a tie for 76th place with a score of 15-over 133 through 12 holes. Kevin Pikus, playing as an individual, is tied for 84th place with a score of 17-over 146. Pikus had completed 15 holes before play was stopped.
